Hydrotherapy (also known as Aquatic Therapy) is a type of physiotherapy that is performed in warm water. It uses the properties of water to help with rehabilitation and pain relief.

Hydrotherapy aims to help those experiencing joint and muscle pain or recovering from injury or illness. The warm water helps with relaxation and pain relief and will also help strengthen and stretch muscles. The support of the water lessens strain on the joints, which is ideal for conditions such as arthritis and back pain or if someone is recovering from injury, illness or surgery. The ability to swim is not necessary as the water is no deeper than chest high.

Warwickshire Hydrotherapy provides hydrotherapy for a variety of medical conditions; including rehabilitation after injury or surgery and the treatment and management of long term conditions. The hydrotherapy takes place in heated pools in the Warwickshire County, which are maintained at temperatures varying between 32 and 35 degrees. Assessment and treatment is provided by experienced, chartered physiotherapists. Please feel free to contact us by telephone or email if you have any questions or would like to make an appointment.
